As state agency budgets tighten, more and more publications are “born digital” in order to save printing costs. Agencies and commissions can still fulfill the obligation of ORC 149.11 to distribute publications for the general public to designated state depository libraries through the State Library of Ohio.
Online publications are added to the State Library’s Digital Archive where they are available 24 hours a day to anyone in the world with access to a computer. All items added to the Digital Archive receive full bibliographic records in OCLC’s WorldCat, the State Library’s catalog and OhioLINK central catalog. One click provides a seamless link to the complete publication.
