County Law library Bill (SB 345) introduced and referred to Senate Committee
Senator David Goodman (R-Columbus) has introduced a bill which would make changes to Ohio’s County Law Libraries system. Senate Bill 345 would create a county law library resources board in each county; create a statewide consortium of county law library resources boards; provide that each county law library resources board is responsible for coordinating legal research and reference material for county offices, courts, and county departments; create the county law library resources fund and the statewide consortium of county law library resources boards fund; and reconstitute the Task Force on Law Library Associations.
The bill was referred to the Senate Finance and Financial Institutions Committee on 6/10/2008. No hearings have been held on the bill since the General Assembly is on summer break.
