Freely Available Topographic Maps

Scientists, historians, and genealogists can celebrate an expanding new online research tool. So far the United States Geological Survey has digitized 90,000 historical topographic maps from its collection of over 200,000 maps dating back to 1884. The Historical Topographic Map Collection website is: http://nationalmap.gov/historical.
