Looking for easy-to-use county economic indicators?

Easy-to-use county economic indicators may seem like they are  hiding on the Census Bureau’s website. These reports are called the Community Economic Development HotReport.

Here’s how to find the county numbers you need:
At the bottom of the Census Bureau front page, find a link called Data Tools. In the description of the DataFerrett tool is another link to the HotReport. Choose your county and a new page will open with tabs leading to indicators such as transportation, housing, education level and school enrollment. The data is supported with bar graphs.
