Job Opening: Head Librarian/Library Director, Carroll County District Library

The Carroll County District Library is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and forward thinking individual with strong interpersonal and community relational skills for the position of Head Librarian/Library Director. The Director reports to a seven member Library Board of Trustees and is directly responsible for the administration and management of the library including strategic planning, budgeting, community relations, overseeing library construction projects, and the implementing of policies and goals established by the Library Board. This position has a particular emphasis on business administration and library operation with a commitment to patron service and technology.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  Qualified applicants should have a minimum of four years of professional library experience and a minimum of four years of administrative and managerial experience in a public library or equivalent field.   An MLS or MLIS is preferred.  Applicants will be required to undergo a Background Check.
