Use of the current ProQuest Ancestry Library Edition and Mango Languages databases during the trial period has been very strong across all three types of libraries represented in Libraries Connect Ohio, prompting the recent Invitation To Negotiate (ITN) to include an additional year to some genealogy database and foreign language resource subscriptions. In the first three months of the trial, Ancestry Library Edition was searched over 1.2 million times, and Mango Languages was used for over 20,000 learning sessions. It is the intent of Libraries Connect Ohio to use the ITN responses and apply to the State Library Board for LSTA funding to continue the Ohio Web Library core set of electronic resources/databases for statewide use for July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013.
