State Agency Libraries & What They Can Do for Your Patrons

In addition to the services provided by the State Library of Ohio, some state agencies maintain libraries of specialized materials to serve the research and information needs of agency staff, elected officials, and in some instances, the public.  The materials contained in these special libraries are focused on the work of the agencies they serve and often serve as an historic record of the agency’s work.  The articles in this edition of our newsletter provide you with an introduction to a few of the libraries that exist to serve Ohio’s state agencies and the public.  We hope you will enjoy learning about their collections and the work they do to support Ohio’s state government. In addition, you will discover helpful resources to share with your patrons.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about the vast array of resources and services the State Library of Ohio provides to state government, all types of libraries, and residents.
