The Akron-Summit County Public Library’s Mobile Services Division debuted a new Bookmobile in April 2007. The new 29-foot vehicle is equipped with a raised ceiling to increase comfort while standing and item capacity, and a rear back-up camera to improve safety. It also features a rear-mounted wheelchair lift to make everyone’s library visit more accessible and enjoyable. The new bookmobile replaced a 1986 vehicle.
