Ohio Workforce Training & Adult Education

The University System of Ohio’s network of Adult Basic and Literacy Education [1] (ABLE) programs and Adult Workforce Education [2] (AWE) centers serve the state’s adult population—including non-traditional students who left high school early, high school graduates who need additional skills before enrolling in college, working adults who wish to pursue post-secondary credentials, and employers that want to invest in their workers through customized training. As part of the of the national Extension initiative, Managing in Tough Times (MITT), Ohio State University Extension provides Financial Crisis [4] resources for families, individuals, businesses, as well as farm and ranch related financial information. Ohioline [7], principally produced by Ohio State University Extension offers bulletins and fact sheets on a wide array of subjects such as In Over Your Head: Life Saving Strategies for Financial Crisis and Cooking for One or Two. Ohioans can find research based information on yards and gardens, families, youth, food, and other topics.

Department of Job and Family Services
