Honoring Gayle Patton's Retirement

Passed by the State Library Board on September 30, 2010

WHEREAS, Gayle Patton has served with distinction and dedication as a leader in the Ohio library community; and

WHEREAS, Gayle Patton served as Director of the Loudonville Public Library from 1992 – 2002 and as Deputy Director of the Mansfield-Richland County Public Library from 2002 – 2010; and

WHEREAS, Gayle gave unsparingly of her time, energy, knowledge, and leadership to support the programs of the State Library of Ohio by acting as a member of the Statewide Resource Sharing Committee and working to review LSTA grant applications from 2002 to 2008; and

WHEREAS, Gayle Patton has provided guidance and leadership to the Ohio library community by serving  on the Ohio Library Council, OHIONET, and OPLIN Boards and in numerous leadership roles in the Ohio public library community;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that on this day, September 30, 2010, the State Library Board expresses their individual and collective gratitude and appreciation for Gayle Patton, congratulates her on her retirement, and wishes her continued success in all of her endeavors.
