John Myles was appointed to the State Library Board in December of 2011 and he was sworn in at the January 27, 2011 State Library Board meeting.  John served as the Library Media Specialist from 1976 to 2011 for the Liberty Center Local School district located in Henry County. He has held leadership positions and served on committees and advisory councils in numerous regional, statewide, and national library and education organizations including Ohio Education Library Media Association (OELMA), INFOhio, National Education Association, Northwest Education Association, Northwest Library District, Northwest Regional Library System (NORWELD), the Liberty Center Public Library Board, and as a member of the Advisory Council on Federal Library Programs at the State Library of Ohio. John retired from the Liberty Center Local School district in May 2011.
