WHEREAS, Lynn Grimshaw has served with distinction as a member of the State Library Board from July 2007 to June 2012; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Grimshaw’s tenure included service as Vice-President from February 10, 2009 - June 30, 2009 and President of the State Library Board from July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Grimshaw brought superlative experience and expertise from 27 years as the Scioto County Prosecuting Attorney and serving on the Portsmouth Public Library Board; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Grimshaw’s service on the State Library Board reflects his professionalism and dedication to excellence and his abiding concern for the welfare of the entire Ohio Library Community ; and

Whereas, Mr. Grimshaw provided leadership through a change in library administration; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Grimshaw has made many contributions to the development and progress of Ohio’s libraries and library programs, as well as his advocacy on behalf of libraries in Southern Ohio;

Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that on this day, June 21, 2012, the State Library Board, on behalf of Ohio’s libraries, expresses sincere gratitude to Mr. Grimshaw for his exemplary efforts and wishes him continued success in all of his endeavors.
