Healthy Start and Healthy Families (Medicaid programs)
Ohio Medicaid offers two programs for children, families and pregnant women with limited income to get health care.

The Ohio Benefit Bank is an internet-based software program that can help parents to access programs that benefit their families. Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Organization
The Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Organization is a statewide network which assists parents in finding affordable child care and advocates for parents’ needs.  This section of its website helps parents locate and contact their local Child Care Resource and Referral agency  These agencies, which serve every county in Ohio, provide child care referrals and help parents evaluate quality child care.

Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities
(OCECD) is a statewide, nonprofit organization that serves families of infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities in Ohio, and agencies who provide services to them.

Ohio Department of Education Food & Nutrition Programs
The ODE offers programs and services relating to food, a healthful diet and nutritional education for school-age youth, including the National School Lunch Program and the summer food service program.

Ohio Department of Job & Family Services
To help Ohio’s families find solutions to their temporary challenges during this tough economic climate, ODJFS services for families include assistance with health care, child care, child support enforcement and administration, and employment and training assistance.

Ohio Department of Mental Health
This site provides a statewide clearinghouse of mental health services, statewide helpline phone numbers, and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, number for families in need of help.  The Children, Youth and Families section of this site has links to resources and research to assist and support children, adolescents, and families.

This Ohio State University Extension resource offers a wealth of links on family and parenting topics.

Ohio Parent Information Network
OH-PIN provides essential parent information related to early education and care of children birth through age six.  Includes links to resources on advocacy, child care, child development, health, literacy, nutrition, parenting, and special needs.

Ohio Parent Information and Resource Center
The Ohio PIRC is a one-stop resource center for parents or guardians to help them assist their children to do well in every grade and get the best education possible.

Parents Helping Parents
Parents Helping Parents is a nonprofit support organization serving the families of Northwestern Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. Its support groups, special workshops, and advocacy efforts promote healthy families by offering hope to parents of distressed children.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Ohio
WIC helps income-eligible pregnant and breastfeeding women, women who recently had a baby, infants, and children up to five years of age who are at health risk due to inadequate nutrition.
