Government Information You Can Use

News You Can Use for State Employees

Are you looking for a musician, storyteller, magician or other performer for an event at your library? Looking for someone different than an entertainer you booked before?

“Who you gonna call?”

Check out the statewide Performer’s Showcase, which is a database of over 75 performers willing to present programs in Ohio. The website contains a brief description of the type of performance, contact information including telephone number and address, and fees charged (if supplied by the performer). If you see a video camera icon and the note “watch video clip” with the listing, you can also watch several minutes of the performer’s act in QuickTime!  To access the database, go to: http://www.showcaseohio.org/.

The Performer’s Showcase was funded by the State Library of Ohio and the Regional Library systems. Presently, it is being updated by NEO Regional Library System. If you have used any of the performers and thought they did a wonderful job, and they are not in the database, contact Rose Marie Pecchio at NEO-RLS with the information for her to add. Her email is: pecchior@neo-rls.org.
