From the South
Take I- 71 N.
Take Exit 106B to OH–315 (N)
Merge onto 670 (E)
Exit at 4th St. (Exit 4B – US 23, Third St/Fourth St – to the Right)
Turn Left on E Goodale St.
Turn left at light – (N) on N 4th St (US–23)
Turn right at first light – (E) on E 1st Ave.
Continue East on E 1st Ave until you reach 274 E 1st Ave (on left)

From the East
Take I–70 W.
Take Exit 100B (US–23/Fourth St)
Turn Right onto US–23 (US–23/S 4th St)

Building Information

The State Library is located in the former Jeffrey Mining Manufacturing building. Parking is available at no cost in the front and side lots of the building. WiFi access is free and provided for library visitors during regular business hours. Click here for more information about visiting the library.

The State Library is located in the former Jeffrey Mining Manufacturing building in Italian Village within the Short North area of Columbus.

Information about the Columbus area including attractions, dining, events, and lodging  is available through the Greater Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Experience Columbus website.

The State Library of Ohio is conveniently located just north of downtown Columbus. Tours of our collections and unique facility may be available to small groups during regular business hours upon request starting in 2022. Tours groups are limited to 6 people.
