Webinar: Coming to Our Census: What Libraries Can Do to Get Out the Count
February 20, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
In 2020, the Census will be conducted primarily online for the first time. Fewer federal resources are being devoted to the Census, and yet it is just as important as ever to get a complete count. Libraries have major stakes in their communities being fully-represented in the 2020 Census and are simultaneously uniquely-suited to help their patrons be counted. In this session, we’ll discuss any updates from the Census Bureau as kick-off day is fast-approaching. We’ll also go over the importance of the U.S. Census, the American Library Association’s role via its 2020 Census Outreach & Education Task Force, opportunities to conduct census-related outreach in your community, and leave you with a list of action items to help get the most accurate count of people across Ohio.
Once registered, you will be emailed a link to access the webinar. For registrants that can’t make the live webinar, a recording will be emailed to access the content.
