Kirstin Krumsee Now Data and Research Consultant
The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Kirstin Krumsee is now our Data and Research Consultant working for Governmental Affairs Liaison Bill Morris in the State Librarian’s Office. Kirstin’s responsibilities will include finding effective ways to leverage data for communicating the value of Ohio’s libraries through visualizations, mapping, and other research efforts. She will continue to manage the State Library’s state and national data initiatives including gathering statistics for the Annual Ohio Public Library Survey. Elissa Lawrence will now be responsible for government documents.
Kirstin has been at the State Library since 2011, first serving as Reference and Electronic Resources Librarian followed by different roles as Government Information Library Consultant. Prior to joining the State Library, she worked in public and special libraries including the Upper Arlington Public Library, the Ohioana Library and as Information Services Librarian for the Edison Welding Institute. Kirstin was named a 2019 Mover & Shaker in Library Journal for her work on Libraries by the Numbers and recently completed a three-year term on the Depository Library Council to the US Government Publishing Office.
