Recommended Electronic Resources

The following databases include information resources about Human Resources/Training. Many electronic resources are only available to state of Ohio employees.

Business Source Complete

(EBSCO) A scholarly business database providing bibliographic and full text content. Business Source Complete provides full text journals in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Additional full text, non-journal content includes financial data, books, monographs, major reference works, book digests, conference proceedings, case studies, investment research reports, industry reports, market research reports, country reports, company profiles, SWOT analyses and more. Business Source Complete contains indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals back to 1886, searchable cited references for many journals, and detailed author profiles for the most-cited authors in the database.

Academic Search Complete

(EBSCO)  The world’s most comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,300 full-text periodicals, including 4,400 peer reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,300 journals and a total of 10,900 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc.

A statewide platform for saving, discovering and sharing the instructional, research, historic and creative materials produced by the University System of Ohio and Ohio’s private colleges

EBSCO Databases

A collection of comprehensive databases ranging from general reference collections to specially designed, subject-specific databases for public, academic, medical, corporate and school libraries.

EBSCO eBook Collection (formerly NetLibrary)

EBSCO eBooks are online versions of print books that your library has either purchased with a perpetual license or via an annual subscription. eBooks that are owned will be available to the library in perpetuity, with provisions being made for long term access and preservation. eBooks available via subscription are renewed annually for the library to retain access. EBSCO eBooks are available from all major academic publishers in virtually all academic disciplines.

Electronic Journal Center (OhioLINK)

OhioLINK’s Electronic Journal Center (EJC) is the first place Ohio’s college students and researchers go to find the latest journal articles. It contains over 24 million full-text articles in 10,000 journals from large publishers to small presses. In 2012, patrons downloaded over 1.5 million full-text articles in OhioLINK’s collection.

SocINDEX

SocINDEX with Full Text is a full-text research database covering sociology and related disciplines. It features hundreds of full-text journals and millions of records with subject headings from a sociological thesaurus.

MasterFILE Premier (popular magazines)

MasterFILE Premier provides full text to magazines, reference books, and primary source documents. This database also provides an Image Collection containing photos, maps & flags.

Ohio Digital Library

A collection of fiction and non-fiction books and eAudiobooks available in a variety of formats available to download.

PapersFirst

The PapersFirst database is an index of papers presented at conferences worldwide. It covers every published congress, symposium, conference, exposition, workshop, and meeting received by The British Library Document Supply Centre.
